What is Rebels with a Cause?

Rebels with
a Cause

Our founder, Kiki/Anjuli, a Pakistani native, has been a driving force.. or shall we say a “riding” force and supporter of the moto community for over 11 years. A road warrior and world traveler whose long time dream has been to promote and share a positive and meaningful experience of her homeland, all whilst coupling together what she loves most…motorcycle adventures and helping those in need.

About the Tour

Explore the world's highest peaks on motorcycles

Embark on a transformative trip filled with purpose and thrilling adventure. We commence in the lush green bustling capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, then fly over lofty mountains, rocks, fawn sand and snow to Skardu- The gateway to the best treks and mountaineering in the world. Where we will ride segments of the Karakorams backbone containing the densest mass of glaciers, ride to serene lakes, past waterfalls and ancient as well as organic villages. Sprinkling our aid to multiple valleys along the way. This region of Gilgit-Baltistan is the rooftop of the world, with verdant forests, rolling hills, and glistening rivers. It is a place of unspoiled beauty with the friendliest people you’ll ever meet.

The Motorcycles

The tried & trusted Honda CB150F

We currently use the worry free Honda CB 150F. It has proven for years to be the most reliable in the country, especially up north with its aircooled engine. Our personal certified mechanic will be here 24/7 to keep our bikes dialed in and on track no matter what obstacles we encounter. If you have someone tagging along as your +1 or pillion, we can also arrange a spot for them in our support vehicle.

A mission filled with adventure

The Itinerary

This tour is more than a window into the rich culture, history, heritage and traditions of Pakistan and its people– it’s a chance to immerse yourselves beyond being a “tourist”. It’s an exchange. The window works both ways, and riders see full circle the weight they have in creating a meaningful impact. The rippling effects are very real. Alone, we can only do so much, but with the force of community, the rewards are life-altering, and you’ll see it first hand.

We've got the answers to your questions

Do I need a motorcycle license to ride on the tour?

A valid operator’s license from your home country specifically with the motorcycle endorsement is necessary and will be confirmed at the starting point of your tour. This is not only for legal and insurance reasons but also for the safety of yourself and the people on the road with you.

What kind of physical condition do I need to be in?

We obviously hope you are in excellent physical and mental condition anytime you plan on riding a motorcycle. The riding level is “moderate,” 1-3 years minimum riding experience is recommended and some off road experience will come in handy. Our approval of your condition does not take the place of a trusted doctor’s evaluation. Also, we recommend you to arrive two days earlier than a tour date to avoid Jet Lag messing with you.

Why am I being redirected to book the tour on another website?

A huge part of RWAC is to promote locals whose mission it is to highlight the gems of their nation. So I called upon my trusted friends, Sobia Maq and Adnan Afaq, at Route 16. By booking with them we are helping the people of Pakistan thrive. They take care of everything for us, how sweet of them!

Can I pay in installments?

A $690 deposit is required to secure your spot on the tour. During checkout you'll have the option to pay all at once or make installments leading up to the tour date. Please contact our tour partner, Route 16, for specific details.

What kind of weather will we encounter and gear will I need to ride?

The simple rule is: Anything is possible, so prepare accordingly. Riding season in Pakistan starts in May and ends around mid-October. It’s generally great weather to be in the Himalayas but the winds can suddenly change and short storms can hit us out of nowhere. So bring your rain gear, a full-face helmet, bring a summer mesh jacket for hot days, plus a warm layer or two. There’s a wide range of weather possibilities and temps so BE READY FOR WHATEVER!

How long are typical riding days?

Riding days can vary from 150-350km (95-220mi) per day, depending on the roads and routes. In the twisty Himalayas or the Karakoram range a 300 km day can easily take up to 7 hours at times due to ferry crossings, side excursions, or depending on other activities, so just keep in mind that we design the itinerary that make full use of your vacation time, making it «mission impossible» to get bored at any given moment.

What if I don’t speak the language?

Lucky for you lucky for us, Pakistan was colonized by the British, so it’s the official language and everyone speaks and understands it, so you needn’t worry!

What is the recommended arrival date?

We recommend you to arrive two days before the tour begins. We want you to wear off your jet lag, and be fresh for the adventurous journey ahead.

How long in advance do I need to apply for the visa?

The Visa process sometimes takes up to 2 months for Pakistan so we suggest getting your visa as soon as possible.

How do I get a visa?

Please visit https://visa.nadra.gov.pk for complete information.

Where can I get travel insurance?

If you are looking for a travel insurance to go along with your trip to Pakistan, we would recommend WorldNomads.com, which may be the adequate type of insurance that fits our kind of adventure.

How many people are on the tour?

8 - 12 Riders will be on the tour

Will there be cell phone reception and wifi?

Good freakin’ question. In urban and more developed cities like Islamabad yes, but not so much in the rural villages and mountainous regions. Please do inform your loved ones in advance so they don’t worry if they don’t hear back from you until we’ve reached a more developed zone.
